On Wednesday 15th November, Mrs Holmes conducted a special anti-bullying assembly. This covered what bullying actually means, ensuring that our children understand that bullying is a repeated unwanted behaviour. The children were then treated to some role-play scenarios expertly acted by Ellie, Emily K, Emily E-H and Annaya in Year 6. The children in assembly had to consider whether the different sketches actually constituted bullying or not. The different forms of bullying such as physical, emotional and verbal were covered but also importantly cyber -bullying. Our children also considered whom they could turn to should they ever witness bullying or ever feel in a vulnerable situation themselves. In addition, to the special assembly, our children completed anti-bullying activities in their normal timetabled lessons thus further enhancing their understanding.
