Policies and Procedures

At Sherborne House School, the wellbeing, safety, and success of every child are at the heart of everything we do. Our policies and procedures provide a clear framework that guides our daily practice, decision-making, and long-term vision. They set out the high standards we expect from staff, pupils, and the wider school community, ensuring that our values are consistently upheld.

These documents cover all aspects of school life, from safeguarding and pastoral care to teaching, learning, and operational management. They are designed to promote transparency, safeguard children, and foster a positive and inclusive environment in which every pupil can thrive.

We are committed to reviewing our policies regularly, in line with statutory guidance and best practice, to make sure they remain up to date, effective, and responsive to the needs of our pupils and families. By working in partnership with parents and carers, we aim to provide clarity, consistency, and reassurance about the way our school is run.

Inspection Reports

In accordance with best practice and statutory regulations, the School undergoes regular inspections.

Sherborne House School is inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI).  The ISI is the body approved by the Secretary of State (DfE) for the purpose of inspecting schools which are, or whose heads are, in the membership of the associations which form the Independent Schools Council. Regulatory compliance inspections report on a school’s compliance with the Independent School Standards Regulations, and where applicable the National Minimum Standards for Boarding Schools and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Please see below the most recent report and the ISI Progress Monitoring Inspection report.

"Leaders are aspirational for their pupils and the school community. Pupils embrace the school's aims to provide academic, enrichment and leadership opportunities, which are underpinned by kindness and an appreciation of the worth of everyone."
