Sherborne House Reception gives children aged four to five years, and their parents, the best possible start to school. Our experienced and caring staff seek to instil a love for learning from the moment a child starts school, within a happy, creative and secure environment.
Our Reception children will have opportunities to visit the Pre-Reception children as well as children in Year 1 and 2, allowing them to interact with children of all ages and become more familiar with other teachers in the school.
In Reception we follow a structured programme, allowing the children to move onto Year 1 National Curriculum work when they are ready. Each day the children will complete phonics, literacy and a mathematics lesson alongside other activities. Read more about the curriculum here.
