Team: Wellbeing Ambassadors!

Posted: 2nd October 2024

We are delighted to share some exciting news about our Wellbeing Ambassadors at Sherborne House School! Recently, our current Wellbeing Ambassadors had the opportunity to listen to presentations from other children keen to apply for this important role. Each year group showcased their enthusiasm by expressing why they believe they would make a great Wellbeing Ambassador.

The selection process was quite a challenge! The original Wellbeing Ambassadors engaged in thoughtful discussions and debated each applicant’s merits before casting their votes. It was heartening to see how difficult the decision was, as all the candidates demonstrated such fantastic qualities and a genuine desire to contribute to our school community.

The primary role of a Wellbeing Ambassador is to spread positivity and kindness throughout Sherborne House. These young leaders work closely with Mrs Holmes, our PSHE Lead, and Miss Bellars, our Science Lead, to develop strategies aimed at helping both children and staff feel their best. It’s a role that champions respect, care, and emotional wellbeing — values that we hold dear.

We’re thrilled to announce that last year’s and the newly appointed Wellbeing Ambassadors were eager to dive right into their responsibilities. They excitedly attended their first formal meeting, which was recorded in minutes, a significant step for our young leaders! Their initial task was to complete a survey assessing how well the Zones of Regulation are understood across the school. Following this, they will provide valuable feedback to our staff, ensuring that everyone is on the same page regarding emotional regulation.

We look forward to seeing how our Wellbeing Ambassadors will continue to make a positive impact within our school community throughout this academic year!
