This academic year we have continued to build on our use of ‘tech’ both in and out of the classroom environment. Our ‘BYOD’ Bring Your Own Device initiative, which was recently featured in the media, had proven very successful this year. We also have been making use of the new school drone, for lessons, school activities and after school tech clubs. Used very regularly, the existing Sphero kit remains very popular with the children using coding, robotics & STEM whilst seamlessly integrating ICT and computer learning, which is also regularly used each week in class. Mrs Mathema successfully completed a long course of study recently to achieve a Level 3 Digital Support Technician certificate and her new skill set now allows for additional Google for Schools knowledge and curriculum based enhancement.
