| Year 6
The children have been exploring the work of Andy Goldsworthy, an artist and sculptor, who works with natural materials. They have been scouring the school grounds for suitable resources, supplemented with the horticultural efforts of their teachers. They gathered a wide variety of materials including bark, leaves (oak, bamboo, and laurel) and acorns. They worked in groups to replicate the style and produced some wonderful artwork. Their representations ranged from rabbits and bonfires, to beautiful flowers and Rudolf the red nosed reindeer. The work was enjoyed by all and linked nicely both with looking after nature and the importance of good food hygiene.
