In year 2 we have been exploring how we can use tuned and untuned percussion to create our own compositions from a picture stimulus.
First we wrote our own very short picture story, about a man sailing on a sunny day. A storm comes up and sinks his boat. Finally the sun comes back out but there is no boat in sight.
We worked in groups, choosing instruments and experimenting to see which instruments worked best together. Then we worked as a small ensemble to perform our compositions to our classmates
