Ethan in 4HS wrote a letter to the Year 4 teachers asking if it would be possible to go to Go Ape. The letter was so persuasive that Mrs Stupple organised the trip.

We started with Gorilla Games which were team building challenges. The children had to work in small groups to solve four problems. We saw evidence of perseverance, teamwork and leadership skills as they rotated around the activities.

After a picnic lunch we all took part in the Go Ape challenge high up in the trees. Wearing a safety harness we maneuvered over swinging planks, rope bridges and down zip wires. We were impressed by the bravery and kindness displayed. Pupils applauded as they saw their friends triumph as they overcame their fears to zip wire down to the ground.

Finally we walked around the forest visiting some of the play structures en route. Sherborne House staff were so impressed with the excellent behaviour on the day and the wonderful way the children supported each other (and the staff) on the challenges.
