Year 4 had a fantastic trip to Woodmill Outdoor Activity Centre last week.

The overarching theme of the trip was challenge, with the children trying things they haven't done before, surprising themselves with what they are capable of and supporting their peers in areas they found more difficult.

The children loved pushing themselves to scale the heights of the climbing wall and climbing the vertical challenge - a sort of vertical assault course consisting of tyres, cargo net and a pole ladder. The crate challenge saw pairs of children travel ever higher into the air, until finally the crates came tumbling down, leaving the delighted pair dangling, shrieking with excitement. In addition to this, the children tried their hand at archery, testing their accuracy and their camp building skills in the bushcraft activity.

All the children did exceptionally well at challenging themselves, building their confidence and resilience, as well as working together in pairs and as a year group. What a brilliant way to end the year!
