Year 4 have made a good start this term. In English, the children discovered a message in a bottle. They had to think about who it could have been from and what it might say. They discovered it was from someone who had been stranded on a desert island. The children then wrote their own message in a bottle. The purpose was for the children to add more detail to their descriptive writing by thinking carefully about what their island looked like and some of the distinguishing features so that the person who found their message would be able to find them.
