| Year 3
Over the past few weeks in Year 3 STEM lessons, we have been looking at making egg protection capsules.
Last week, the children worked hard to design and create their own protection capsules, explaining why they thought they would work. During the making lesson, the children adapted and changed their designs as they noticed possible problems.
We had parachutes made from face masks, balloons taped to string and even eggs submerged in water in a plastic milk bottle. The Year 3 excitedly made their way to Mrs Cripps’ balcony to test their designs. 10 lucky eggs survived the fall, the rest were not as lucky!
As well as this, the children even tackled the challenge of walking on eggs. Surprisingly, only one egg was cracked in the process!
