| Year 3

In our humanities lessons, the year 3 children have been exploring the theme of inventions over time. They collaborated together to research their favourite inventions and discussed how these have changed and developed over the years. As part of their end of unit outcome, the children worked independently to research the invention of the car and how they have been adapted in the present day.

As well as this, they were also set the challenge to come up with their own futuristic car invention; they had to explain how the car of the future would work and what interesting things it could do. We had flying cars, floating cars and even cars that could become invisible.

After researching using books and the internet, the children produced their own double page spread about the invention of cars. They worked hard to draw their own pictures and turn their notes into paragraphs about cars. All the children worked incredibly hard and were very proud of the finished outcome.
