| Year 4
The purpose of their learning is to gain an understanding of how electricity 'works'. They have really enjoyed the practical aspects such as constructing a simple series electrical circuit, identifying and naming its basic parts, including cells, wires, bulbs, switches and buzzers. In addition, they have investigated whether or not a lamp will light in a simple series circuit, based on whether or not the lamp is part of a complete loop with a battery. The children have further enhanced their learning by investigating some common conductors and insulators. Well done Year 4 - you have the power!
