The children in Year 4 have been introduced to the workings of the digestive system!

They have been working very hard learning the types and functions of teeth in humans and other animals. Their next-steps are to learn about the functions of the digestive system. As an introduction to this topic (and to start to familiarise themselves with some new tricky words) the children enjoyed a fun warm-up activity. They worked in little groups and were asked to place post-it notes on a willing volunteer labelling where they thought the parts of the digestive system were e.g the oesophagus and duodenum. As you can see from some of our pictures there was some interesting labelling!
