| Year 6
On Friday 6th July, Year 6 participated in the Leaver’s Service and Prize Giving and a performance of Year 6 Has Got Talent
During the Prize Giving and Leavers’ Assembly, the children were presented with a variety of prizes to celebrate their achievements and progress during the year. These included prizes for various subjects such as history and geography as well as special prizes for The Spirit of Sherborne House, the Individual Work Cup and Project Cup. All of the children in Year 6 received a book inscribed with their name which were presented by their tutors, Mrs Domone and Mr Mathias who said a few words about each child in their class. Mrs Hopson-Hill reviewed the year and thanked the children for their contribution to life at Sherborne House.
Year 6 had prepared various performances to entertain their parents and guests during the afternoon. Year 6 Has Got Talent contained a wide range of acts ranging from some fantastic rendering of songs (including some by Ed Sheeran), card tricks displayed on the screen with the use of a visualiser, gym displays, an art show, mini dramas and jokes. The show finished with the Rock Band (guitars, trumpet, drums and vocals) playing You Give Love a Bad Name. Year 6 should all be congratulated on their enthusiasm and commitment to the day – what a day!
This day proved to be one of the highlights of the summer term together with memories of the PGL residential to Little Canada on the Isle of Wight (see the photos here), our Trip to Monkey World (see the photos here) and as the children reach the end of their time at Sherborne House School, we wish them well for the challenges ahead and every success at their next school.
