| Year 3
Year 3 have been learning about stories that have familiar settings and we have discussed where we would set a story e.g. a bedroom or in the classroom. The children have been sorting a range of setting pictures to work out which setting they come from. After this, the children sorted our classroom books in to setting groups. The purpose of this task was to ask the children to delve into the book to discover the setting and then decide if it was a setting familiar to them on an everyday basis. Year Three are getting ready to write their own story based around the ‘Hodgeheg’ a book by Dick King-Smith.
