Report: The U11A team started the tournament with a tough opening game against The Study, the eventual winners, and only in the latter stages of the match found their rhythm. This triggered a quick response from the team and in their next two matches they scored an incredible 31 goals, without conceding any to their opponents. They achieved two more comfortable wins before reaching the semi-finals, which they won against 6-0. In the final they faced The Study again and this was a closer and more competitive game, which they narrowly lost. As Runners up at this regional event they have qualified for the National I.S.A. tournament next month, in York. Well done to the team and many thanks to all our parents for their support on the day!!

Report: The girls put up a good fight in their matches whilst playing in a Year 6 competition due to our Yr 6 girls out on a trip. In their first match they narrowly lost 0-1 vs Rosemead. They then played the eventual tournament winners and despite some good saves from Holly S and strong defending from the girls, we lost 0-3. We played Skippers Hill next and in another tight game, they won 1-0. We had lunch then played in the plate beating Rosemead B, 2-0 with both goals from Holly H, coming third in this competition. Well done girls, you were a credit to our school with your behaviour on and off the pitch. DS

Team: U9 As | 25 35 | Vs | 0 20 | Ryde St. John’s |
Report: Leaving school in the pouring rain, we were slightly hesitant about the conditions that may meet us in Portsmouth. Our concerns were soon quashed as we were met by brilliant sunshine. Our first game against Ryde started after a short warm up. After a slow start weighing up the opposition, the boys found their stride coming out the eventual winners 25-0. Their second game proved more of a challenge. With the wet pitch turning ever more muddy, the boys dug in for some end to end action. The high scoring game finally ended 7 tries to 4 in Sherborne’s favour. Many a smiling face (and muddy shirt - sorry parents) met the awaiting supporters. Well done to all involved and to all the parents who came to brave the sunny, but breezy conditions.
Team: Harry, Fred (C), Joshua, Charles, Guru, Tameem, Adam, Miller and Harry.
Player of the Match: Harry Q for his first try in a Sherborne shirt. |

Team: U8As | 5 3 | Vs | 2 4 | Ryde St. John’s |
Report: Sherborne played some lovely rugby in both games. The boys played good attacking rugby with some strong running and some lovely side steps. In defense the children kept low and made some excellent tags. Two very close games with a win and a loss. All the boys had an enjoyable afternoon of rugby. Well done.
