| Reception | Year 1

Reception and Year 1 have been extremely busy learning lines, songs and actions for their Christmas Nativity.

Last week, Reception and Year One took to the stage to perform their festive production of ‘Shine Star Shine’. After weeks of rehearsing their songs, actions and words, the children were very excited to perform their Nativity to a small audience of Year Two children who offered them lots of encouragement. We then filmed our show to share with family and friends and we very much hope you will all enjoy it.

The children created the set themselves during their art lessons. Reception sponge painted the hills and made their own magical glittery stars for the night sky for the shepherds and kings to follow. They also created the animals for the stable. The Year One children were set the task to create the town of Bethlehem and very much enjoyed painting the different houses.

We are extremely proud of how confidently the children performed and it was wonderful to see them up on the stage speaking and singing clearly.

Thank you to all the children’s parents for providing amazing costumes for the children to wear for their performance.

We wish you and your families a peaceful Christmas break and look forward to welcoming the children back for another busy term in the New Year.
