| Reception
This half term is always a busy one in Reception; the children have been preparing for their Nativity, learning lines and songs, whilst also being busy in the classroom working on their reading, writing and maths skills.
They learnt and innovated the story of The Gingerbread Man, which they then retold to an audience of Year 1 children. It was impressive to see the children learn new vocabulary which they then used in their own work. They particularly enjoyed retelling the original story through role play using different props around the classroom.
Following this, the children baked their own Gingerbread Men to take home for Christmas. When it was time for their Nativity, the children performed with great confidence to the school and their families, they spoke clearly and looked very natural on the stage.
Well done Reception for your hard work this term!
