| Pre-Reception
Pre-Reception have been exploring their new role-play area that we have turned into a Space Station, by supporting the children’s excursions into imaginary worlds in this way we are able to encourage inventiveness. The children have been pretending to be astronauts and have learnt a bit about what they would find if they went to space. This week we have also been looking at the story “Whatever Next!” By Jill Murphy, where a teddy bear takes an imaginary trip to space. The children have been coming up with some imaginative ideas of their own and have practised using some descriptive language in relation to the characters in the story.
