| Year 2
A significant part of learning in Year 2 involves collaborating and working with others to achieve a goal.
As part of the poetry work Year 2 are doing this term, the children chose poems that they enjoyed reading and rehearsing. They then organised a key of common features of poems that they read. As detectives, the children then identified a range of poetic conventions; rhyme, rhythm, onomatopoeia, simile, alliteration and repetition.
This investigation will help the children write their own poems next week. They look forward to sharing their masterpieces with you!
