The curriculum at Sherborne House is structured yet broad, which aims to develop each child's academic, physical and emotional potential. One key area of our curriculum is maths, which is taught throughout the school from Pre-Reception to Year 6.

Maths introduces children to concepts, skills and thinking strategies that are essential in everyday life and support learning across the curriculum. It helps children make sense of the numbers, patterns and shapes they see in the world around them, offers ways of handling data in an increasingly digital world and makes a crucial contribution to their development as successful learners.

On Tuesday, Miss Warren ran a maths enrichment workshop for children from Year 1 to Year 6. The children were challenged to crack the code on a lock by answering different maths related questions to find the 4 digits. They then worked in groups to design a lock for another year group and challenged them to solve it.

As well as challenging themselves mathematically, the children enjoyed working with children from different year groups and making connections throughout the school. Well done to all our budding mathematicians!
