This week in Hedgehogs the babies have been incredibly busy developing their mark making skills. They have done this by using a variety of mark making materials to create their own masterpieces.
The babies used paint, colouring crayons and pencils, cardboard tubes, paint dabbers, play-dough and sponges to create different marks and patterns on paper. They explored and experimented with the different resources and had lots of fun getting messy! Mark making is crucial for a child’s development and learning. Not only is it fun for them to do, it supports their fine motor development, ready to start writing when they are older.
