| Year 1
The children in Year 1 are very excited that Jess, the school reading therapy dog, has started visiting their class once a week. Every child has had the chance to read a story to Jess and there has also been time for lots of cuddles and strokes.
Jess has been such a good listener and she wags her tail to show her enjoyment of the stories she is listening to! We have been very impressed with the children who are less confident around dogs, as they have been stroking and getting to know Jess; the children have all had a chance to give her a treat too.
Jess has enabled the children to become more confident when reading aloud and it has been lovely to see their increased self-confidence and sense of achievement.
