Reception were intrigued to discover an array of mystery objects in the classroom.
This week in Reception we have introduced our topic Potions and Explosions.
The children thought about what they already know about these words, they knew volcano’s and fireworks made explosions and that we often mix things to make potions! Most children thought that potions usually make a bad change.
They discovered some clues in the classroom to introduce our new story - some cloaks, and broomsticks which will soon be added to our potion laboratory role play area!
The children have continued to enjoy exploring the different areas of the classroom, the role play and construction areas are particular favourites.
We have been looking at the sounds s, a t and p and the children have done an amazing job of sorting lots of objects by their initial sounds.
