| Year 6
Year 6 have been busy learning about light in science. They have been investigating what happens when light is reflected off a mirror and how we can use mirrors to help us. They are currently in the middle of making periscopes to aid their understanding further. In class, we have been exploring how a curved surface effects reflected images. We have used our portrait skills from art to sketch facial reflections from both concave and convex surfaces. Our current history topic is The Battle of Britain, a theme which the children have approached enthusiastically. In English, we have used this as a stimulus for writing stories about dogfights. We have focused on including figurative, technical and sensory language to improve the quality and imagery of our writing.
