In February, Sherborne House were very proud to announce that a team of both Year 5 and Year 6 girls qualified for the ISA National Netball Tournament Finals which would be taking place in York (read the full story here).

On Saturday 11th May, the U11A netball team traveled to Queen Ethelburga’s Collegiate in York to represent the London West Region and compete in the ISA National Netball Tournament Finals.

The U11 team started the tournament with a very strong performance and won this game comfortably. The girls played some very good netball throughout the morning, using both their communication and teamwork skills in each match. The team achieved a semi-final place through convincing wins in all their group games, scoring a whopping 52 goals in total.

The semi-final was a closer match but controlled play from Sherborne House resulted in another good win. In the finals, the girls met their old adversaries, The Study, and in another very close contest, Sherborne narrowly lost by two goals.

Well done to the team for becoming National Netball Runners up. The girls applied all the skills they have learnt throughout the year in their netball lessons to achieve such a wonderful result. All staff, pupils and parents of Sherborne House are very proud of your achievement!

Many thanks to all our parents for their continued support and encouragement throughout the season.
