Following some torrential rain in the preceding days, the U9A's were rather concerned that their final tournament, Sherfield U9A Football Tournament, of the football season would fall foul of the weather.

As expected, we received the email from Sherfield confirming that their pitches were indeed in rather poor condition due to another tournament earlier in the week. The silver lining was that we were able to play on an all-weather pitch in order for the competition to continue.

The air of excitement amongst the boys was clear for all to see as we arrived. The boys were very determined to make the last tournament of the Autumn term a success and give it everything they had. Using the skills and tactics which they had learnt throughout the term, the boys played 6 well fought games, each of 8 minutes long.

Sherborne House U9A team scored a total of 9 goals in their 6 matches, not conceding a single goal, which culminated in Sherborne being crowned the winners. The team played fantastically as a team and displayed some wonderful football skills.

What an excellent finish to the season!
