| Year 5
In geography lessons, the Year 5 classes have been finding out about rainforests, looking at the climate and the organisms that live within them. As a homework task they were challenged to create either a model or a poster, to explain the structure of a typical rainforest and to describe the conditions in each layer of vegetation. This allowed the children to learn about the differences in conditions between the four distinct layers of the rainforest and how these affect the range of animals and plants that live and grow there. Some children enjoyed the opportunity to be creative in sharing their knowledge in imaginative and detailed models, whilst others used computers or collages to create informative posters.
