| Year 2
The children in Year 2 really enjoyed showing their parents how to create and crack different codes using a variety of different mathematical skills and knowledge.
Using strategies and skills across the four operations, they were able to demonstrate mastery to their parents by problem solving and creating some new codes of their own. The children were eager to create challenging codes for their parents, teachers and peers to solve. They were able to independently select a range of practical equipment as well as choosing appropriate methods to solve their calculations. It was a most enjoyable opportunity for the children to showcase their mathematical skills in addition to a wide selection of work on display around the classrooms. Thank you to all the parents and grandparents who were able to join us on open day and make it such a success!
