| Year 4
As part of our 'Potions and Explosions' learning we investigated some religions and philosophies of China.

We found out that Taoism, Confucianism and Buddhism are ancient Chinese philosophies; all three philosophers looked at life in a different way and talked about how best to approach life’s difficulties.

We thought about how we can apply these philosophies to our own lives today.

The Confucius quote:
‘It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop,’
helps us in our learning to try hard and keep on going even if we find some things tricky.

We then learned that Winnie the Pooh, one of our favourite story bears, is also a philosopher and we enjoyed researching some of Winnie the Pooh’s best sayings.
Our favourite one was:
‘A day without a friend is like a pot without a single drop of honey left inside’.
