Would you like to be surrounded by rats, given 39 lashes for stealing or eat buns hard enough to break your teeth? No? Well how about if you could also play cards, build model ships, play the flute or violin and tell each other pirate stories? Could we persuade you to join the crew?We have had great fun learning what life was like on a pirate ship. We created our own posters using rhetorical questions and then acted out the different activities. The children really got into character and the drama certainly brought the topic alive. In PSHE, we have been talking about the pirate code and discussing rules and their purpose. For homework, the children had to discuss with their families, rules that were in place at home. Mrs Mathema and Mrs James very much enjoyed reading about the different rules that families have. Many thanks to the parents for their support.
