| Pre-Reception
It has been a busy start to the term in Pre-Reception; not only have we welcomed many new friends to our brand new ‘Owl Class’, we have also had a visit from Ofsted who officially approved the nursery plans to extend the provision to 6 months from January 2020.
All our children in the Owl class have benefitted from the beautiful weather this week. The children have been busy exploring the outdoor learning environment and learning how to use a variety of resources in the creative area. They particularly liked using the transport stamps with paint to create their own construction pictures.
Throughout the term, we will be further focusing on developing communication and language through a range of activities. This includes providing children with sound and rhyme bags to explore and discuss with each other, along with technology they can use to record their voices.
We will slowly introduce the topic of ‘Autumn’ and as part of their learning, the children will have the opportunity to go on Autumn listening walks, create their own Autumn crafts and learn about topics such as Harvest, Diwali and Guy Fawkes.
With the official stamp of approval from Ofsted, the School is now accepting places for children aged 6 months + for a January 2020 start date and beyond. If you have any questions or would like further information about the nursery, please contact Mrs Szasz in the School Office.
