Safer Internet Day 2021 took place on Tuesday 9th February. This is an important date to help promote the safeguarding and welfare of our children. The theme this year is 'An Internet we trust: exploring reliability in the online world'.
During PSHE lessons, we focused on a different aspect of internet safety to help our children understand how they can protect themselves and others when using the internet. Topics the children explored included communicating on-line and social networking, what to do if they see an image they are unsure about, ‘friend or foe?’ and thinking about the SMART rules. Internet safety was also reinforced during the children’s ICT lessons this week.
The following leaflet is a really handy guide for parents and carers to help keep your children safe when using the internet.
