At Sherborne House School we enthusiastically participated in the Children In Need’s ‘Five to Thrive’ activities throughout last week to help boost our children’s mental wellbeing and help them understand how other children in the U.K are facing tough times in their lives and need supporting.

One of my favourite memories from last week was the Big Bubble sing-along. We tuned into our local BBC radio station on Monday at 10am, and joined in with other children up and down the country to sing our hearts out to the song titled ‘Happiness’ by McFly. Look out for our singalong video on the website.

We also helped fundraise for the charity by holding a fun non-school uniform day on the Friday. The children looked fantastic and many were in colourful Pudsey-inspired outfits - even a few members of staff brought out their ‘inner-Pudseys’!

Many kind and generous parents and staff donated to our Just Giving page to raise vital funds. I am so proud of our school community in that we smashed the initial £400 target by some 500% and achieved a whopping £2135.00 - what an amazing achievement! In fact, the total raised just keeps on growing. So a huge thank you to everyone who donated to Children In Need - what a fantastic effort.

Here is a little snapshot of just some of the activities our lovely children participated in. Thank you once again for your support - together we can change young lives.
