| Year 1 | Pupils' Work
The children this week have been busy learning about telling the time.
To start with we went outside onto the school field and played ‘What’s the time Mr Wolf?’. The children thoroughly enjoyed this and all wanted the opportunity to be the wolf and shout “DINNER TIME!” and chase each other.
Back in the classroom, the children were each given their own classroom clock and discussed what they could remember about telling the time since we learnt about it during the Spring Term lockdown. The children remembered that when the minute hand points to the 12, it is o’clock and when it points to the 6, it is half past. The children enjoyed making different given times on their clocks. They enjoyed doing this and raced each other to make the times the quickest. The children then had a selection of activities to complete - matching o’clock and half past times and loop cards.
