| Year 5 | Year 6
This term we introduced our new Creative Writing initiative, which will see the children completing a piece of writing on the 1st of each month (where possible) inspired by a stimulus or 'hook'.
In line with our theme for this term, 'Potions and Explosions', we set up a pretend 'Crime Scene' within the school grounds.
We gave each class the opportunity to investigate the scene before producing a piece of writing of their choosing.
It went down well with students who seemed enthused about the experience:
"I think it was a good experience because we felt like it was real!" - Zoha, Year 5
"We tried to interview people, asking teachers if they had seen anything suspicious. We tried to collect eyewitness statements from other children and teachers to get to the bottom of this!" - Tabetha and Juliette, Year 6
