Report: A versatility tournament tests the players ability to adapt and play any position on the court. The girls rotated around nine possible places in the squad and all of them had to take at least one turn off the court. They demonstrated excellent team play and as a result won the tournament. Well done girls!

A tough tournament for our U11 team in very windy conditions. Sherborne started the tournament with a 1-0 win courtesy of a goal scored direct from a corner by William. A 2-0 loss followed in the next match - 2 goals scored from near the halfway line after our goal kicks - with a lot of help from the wind. The boys fought hard in the next match but couldn’t prevent another 2-0 loss. The final match in the group stages saw Sherborne lose 1-0. In a play off match against a team that finished in the same position in another group, Sherborne managed a 1-0 victory thanks to a well worked goal finished off by Blake.

After a shaky start in which the boys conceded three goals in the opening 10 minutes they knuckled down for the remaining 30 minutes and turned the match into an even contest. The boys all worked extremely hard for each other and the increase in performance ensured they understood they needed to close the players down more and once this occurred it created a far more even game of football.

Team: Ammar, Tom, Atharv, Darsh, Oscar, Riyan, Henry, Charlie, Fraser and Thomas
