| Year 4

Fabulous Year 4 trip had the children exploring a plethora a diverse habitats and building historical shelters.

The children had a fantastic trip today to The Sustainability Centre. The intrepid explorers loved investigating all the bugs and beasts to be found, both in aquatic environments and downland woodland alike. Following on from their habitats work in science, the children spent time searching through the pond for mini beasts, identifying what they had found and explaining their treasure to others. Searching under logs and leaves in the shady woodland revealed a delight of creepy crawlies to excite and interest.

The children loved hearing about shelters that our ancestors would have used. Working in teams, they built a fantastic structure to shelter from the elements, should the need have arisen. A great day at a lovely venue. Click here to see the fun they had.
