In Owls, we inspire children through learning experiences that reflect their interests. The purpose of this is by allowing the children to explore, we are able to encourage them to be life-long learners and to take responsibility for their education.
Exploring the world is a natural activity and when children trust themselves, they develop confidence and a more positive self-image.
Therefore, as the children were curious about the ‘Wolf’ in the story ‘The Three Little Pigs’, we decided to base our Literacy lesson around the topic they had chosen. The children made their own story spoons and took part in a pig themed letter matching activity. The children also took on the challenge of building their own stick, straw and brick houses for the pigs to hide from the wolf!
Well done Pre-Reception!
