Welcome to Reception at Sherborne House School where children aged four to five years have the best possible introduction to education
Children who join Reception at Sherborne House benefit from being based with our Nursery children in the Early Years building. Having an Early Years building allows all children to feel secure and happy, within a cosy and nurturing environment.
Our Reception children are also fully integrated into the Sherborne House whole school community; having cooked lunches in the main dining room with other year groups as well as using the school sports hall and playgrounds. In addition, our older children in Year 6 often visit our youngest to read or play with them, allowing all our children to form close friendships across the school. This integration is especially important so that all our children have a seamless transition into Year 1 onwards.
Reception at Sherborne House provides the perfect setting to prepare children for Pre Prep, both academically and emotionally.
