Learning a language is vital in today's world. Not only does it help develop a better understanding of the world we live in, it also helps us communicate with more people, and helps us grow some essential skills, to become better citizens of the world.
All children at Sherborne House School learn French from Pre Reception to Year 6, and Spanish from Year 4.
Children learn through a wide range of activities such as games, conversations, reading, songs, as well as learning about cultural elements and grammar points.
Children develop their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, and learn to make connections with other languages they know.
In Year 6, children use their knowledge of French to correspond with children in a school in France.
