Children in Need

We enjoyed supporting the fabulous and worthwhile 'Children In Need' appeal at school today! Despite the initial wet and cold weather conditions, pupils (and staff) were very cosy indeed in their onesies, pyjamas and dressing gowns which has caused much excitement and hilarity!
A special mention must be made of Grace L who did a sponsored silence (with her friend Elle S acting as her able translator) raising a very impressive £67.30. Mrs Westbrook and Mrs Vincent cooked delicious bacon and vegetarian rolls and sold them to raise funds, making a superb £180. The combined total, with all our efforts, has raised a brilliant sum of £509.32 which I will be paying into Children In Need today!  We understand that other children including Clara B and Huw D have independently raised funds and we would like to congratulate them on their efforts too. I would also like to thank Ankit N who added up the money and Sophie K, Antonia R, Sam Y and Tanay V who helped collect the donations from different classes and bag it up. A huge thank-you to all of you who took part in our fund-raising activities and contributed so kindly to Sherborne House’s ‘Children In Need’ 2014 appeal. It was a tremendous success!
