Fantastic Flowers

The children in Year 3 have been creating dazzling daffodils and terrific tulips.

This term, the children in Year 3 have been learning about Georgia O’Keeffe and her amazing artwork. To begin with, the children went outside and looked closely at flowers within the school ground and other pieces of nature.

The children found lots of super facts about Georgia O’Keeffe and started to draw their own daffodils. They enlarged the daffodils and made sure that they were drawing what they could see. The children used brightly coloured oil pastels to complete their flowers! Using watercolours, the children painted some gorgeous tulips. Some decided that they wanted to mix the watercolours and used the palette for this.
