Christmas at Sherborne

Christmas Bazaar
The children of Sherborne House have had a treat today with a visit to Santa’s Grotto and a Christmas Bazaar organised by FOSH and our wonderful parents. FOSH put an incredible amount of hard work in to the planning and preparation of the Bazaar and the children are always very excited for the day to arrive. A huge thank you to all the parents who worked so hard to produce a wonderful experience for the children.
Year 6 Carols
Traditionally, Year 6 gather around the Christmas tree in the ‘The Wattles’ at the beginning of December to sing carols, followed by juice and doughnuts. This is just one of many events to celebrate the time Year 6 have spent at Sherborne House, and hopefully, will be a magical occasion to add to their memory boxes!
Nursery, Reception and Year 1 have all performed their nativities for their parents. Below are highlight from Reception. Be sure to check out the photo/video library for others and they become available.
Winchester Lantern Parade
Sherborne House School pupils took part in the Winchester Lantern Parade last Friday, parading their very artistic lanterns that were made at our Lantern Workshop.
French Club Christmas Crafts
This week in French club the children made French Christmas decorations and had the opportunity to sample French cheese.
Christmas Card Competition
Well done to all our young artists whose work was selected for entry into the recent Christmas Card competition organised by local MP Mr Steve Brine. Our artwork was highly praised by the judges, with entries from Freya G, Lucy B, Evie D, Amber M, Isabel S, Annabel S and Diba M all being selected as finalists. Many congratulations to Georgia S who won the overall Year 5 prize, winning tickets for a family day at Marwell Zoo. All finalists art work will be on display in the Children’s Library at the Winchester Discovery Centre until Christmas. You can also see a few select entries in our photo gallery.
