Report: The boys played brilliantly and were showing all the things we had practiced in training! The defence was outstanding and they battled gallantly to keep the opposition shots away from our goal! A superb team goal summed up how hard this group of boys worked. Really proud of the boys and if they keep working hard on ‘Man up’ marking, ‘Up the line’ throw ins and asking themselves ‘What’s my next job?’, they will become a force to be reckoned with!

They put into practice everything we have been working on and were communicating what they were trying to achieve brilliantly throughout. 4 Great team goals completed some lovely passages of play where the boys were moving into space and running hard with the ball! Well done!

Report:  In this league game, we took a 4-1 lead and kept the pressure on throughout the match.  It was pleasing to see how we used the width on the court to lead 11-3.  In the final quarter, we lost our concentration and tried to play the long ball out of defence.  St John’s were able to intercept this.  We won the match comfortably 11-4.  DS

Team: Madison, Emily K, Ellie (C), Freya, Tasha, Avantika, Rhyseren, Ioanna and Emily E-H.

Player of the Match:  Ioanna for her intelligent movement in the circle and her accurate shooting.

Report: The boys took part in a round robin competition. They started well against Alton Eagles with a good win. Next, the boys played a tough game against Alton Aces where the boys went 1-0 down at the start of the game. As the boys chased an equaliser, they unfortunately conceded another goal to lose the game 2-0. The boys played well against Barfield and Sherfield with some good passing and tackling. Unfortunately, Sherborne did not have their ‘shooting boots’ on in those games so could not secure victory despite their dominance. Overall, the boys finished in third position.

Report:  This was a very close game with Sherborne House having lots of early chances to score.  It was Churcher’s who opened the scoring but we soon equalized.  It was a game of cat and mouse with Sherborne House taking a 2-1 lead, only for Churcher’s to equalize.  We withstood the pressure to finish narrow victors.  DS

Team: Roxy (C), Holly S, Honor, Shreya, Jessica C, Emma, Elle and Sophie B.

Alton Convent U10 A

Report: This week the boys played incredibly well! The boys clearly listened to feedback from previous matches because they were working hard off the ball to make sure they were in a good position to either support the attack or cover the defence. After most the first half was spent in the opposition’s box without a goal, the boys persevered and managed to get 3 goals in a short space of time. In the second half and after a few changes to the formation, Alton came back strong but Joe (our Goal keeper) and a fantastic defensive effort from our boys, kept the ball out of our net! We even managed to secure another goal in the second half to end a great passage of play! Goal scorers were Alfie (2) Arthur (1) Arun (1)
