Maths Certificates

The first certificates have been awarded to children who have completed assessment levels successfully in our new times tables challenge. All of the children in Key Stages 1 and 2 have the opportunity to make progress through the levels at their own pace, working to demonstrate both recall and application of multiplication and division facts for numbers up to 12. The levels start with multiplication facts for the 2 times table and gradually build up to include a greater number of different tables facts and the expectation that they can be applied quickly and accurately. In order to achieve the highest purple and gold levels, the facts must be accurately used on extended tasks such as finding missing factors, finding fractions of amounts and working with decimals. It is expected that, as children work their way up the school, they will all be aiming to achieve gold by the time they reach upper Key Stage 2.
